Regional Update

Hello, Southeast Region:

Welcome to your KASP Southeast Region page. I will attempt to keep this updated but if you have any questions, please contact me at smoddie@usd244ks.org

We will be sending out details on the Spring Workshop listed above very soon. Plans are in the works for Fall 2018 KASP Conference so watch for details to come.

This time of year is very trying for staff and students so remember to not only support your team and students but take care of yourself as well! Stay healthy! Try using the countdown app on your phone to help make it to Spring Break :) That seems to be a turning point not only for warmer weather (hopefully) but also to help us see we can make it to the end of another school year!

Take care!

About Your Regional Director

Welcome to the Southeast Region KASP page. Following Jason, I have huge shoes to fill but will do my best to keep everyone informed and updated with KASP news.

I am currently a practicing School Psychologist at Coffey County Special Education Cooperative in Burlington, KS. This is my 17th year. Prior to this, I taught secondary special education for several years.

I serve on a Friends of COF board which supports our local CDDO and works to improve the lives of adults with developmental disabilities. I am passionate about helping students transition to post-secondary settings whether that be  vocational training, supported living and employment, or post-secondary education.

Please contact me with any concerns, questions. I would like to see us use our contact group to share ideas and get feedback on School Psychology topics such as eligibility, social-emotional learning, etc.
