Dyslexia has received a lot of attention in Kansas for several years.  School systems and school personnel have been tasked with developing expert-level understanding and knowledge around Dyslexia and reading-related difficulties.  With the new KSDE initiatives driven by the Kansas Legislative Task Force on Dyslexia and Dyslexia Recommendations Committee, all school personnel - including school psychologists - must step into that knowledge and leadership void and become the experts and leaders for students with reading difficulties, including Dyslexia.  This professional learning opportunity will continue KASP’s efforts in providing up-to-date information as well as provide professional guidance about next steps on the topic of Dyslexia.
