Session Summary: This session will explore the often challenging distinction between Emotional Disability and social maladjustment in special education evaluations. We’ll review the legal framework, examine both formal and informal assessment tools, and work through a case study. Participants will leave with practical considerations for integrating multiple sources of information when determining eligibility.

Kansas Association of School Psychologists (KASP) is approved by the National Association of School Psychologists to offer continuing education for school psychologists.  KASP maintains responsibility for the program.
